Huuza Games is a Rwandan gaming and cultural tech company co-founded by Marie Grace Iradukunda (CEO), Alfred Wanjau (CTO/CFO), and Kamugisha Yuhi Joshua,on a mission to connect people with places, heritage, and one another through interactive, culturally grounded games. It brings together expertise in storytelling, technology, and community engagement.

Rather than just creating games for entertainment, Huuza focuses on experiences that spark curiosity about history, culture, and conservation, helping players explore real communities and narratives through digital interaction.
At its core, Huuza Games develops titles and experiences that encourage meaningful engagement with African heritage. Its products—often themed around local history, cultural exploration, and conservation—aim to be both entertaining and educational, giving users a way to learn about themselves and the world around them while playing.
Operating from Kigali, the company has built a following on social platforms by championing gamification as a tool for cultural preservation and community connection, illustrating how tech can bridge modern digital engagement with traditional knowledge.
Huuza Games has achieved early validation and impact within Rwanda’s tech ecosystem, notably winning US$12,500 at the 2022 Hanga Pitchfest, a competitive startup showcase highlighting innovation and potential in Rwanda’s growing tech scene.
The startup has also forged cultural and educational partnerships, such as collaborations with the Rwanda Culture Heritage Academy to co-create gaming experiences that preserve oral traditions and heritage knowledge.
As Huuza expands its portfolio, it continues to position itself at the intersection of gaming, culture, and learning, championing African stories in interactive formats that resonate locally and beyond.
