PiggyVest is a Nigerian fintech company transforming how people save, invest, and manage their money. The company was co-founded by Somto Ifezue (CEO), Odunayo Eweniyi (COO), and Joshua Chibueze (Chief Marketing Officer), who launched the platform in 2016 as Piggybank.ng before rebranding to PiggyVest in 2019. As West Africa’s first online savings and investment platform, PiggyVest enables users to automate savings, invest in curated opportunities, and build long-term financial discipline through a simple, mobile-first experience.

PiggyVest’s success stems from digitising traditional savings habits while expanding access to investment products that were once out of reach for many Nigerians. The platform offers automated savings plans, fixed savings, goal-based savings, investment opportunities, and financial management tools designed to make wealth creation more accessible.
Today, PiggyVest serves more than 6 million users, who collectively save and invest billions of naira every month, making it one of Africa’s largest consumer fintech platforms focused on personal finance.
Since its launch, PiggyVest has become one of Nigeria’s most influential fintech success stories, raising over $1 million in seed funding and attracting backing from investors including Ventures Platform, LeadPath Nigeria, and Village Capital.
Its founders have received widespread recognition for advancing financial inclusion, with Odunayo Eweniyi named to the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list and recognised among Bloomberg’s 50 Ones to Watch. A decade after launch, PiggyVest has helped reshape Nigeria’s savings culture, positioning itself as one of Africa’s leading digital wealth management platforms.
