MeQasa, Ghana's Platform Modernising Property Market Through Technology, Transparency

Updated: 6 days ago

When Kelvin Nyame (CEO), together with Rashad Seini and Kofi Amuasi, co-founded MeQasa in 2013, their vision was to modernize Ghana’s property market through technology and transparency. The platform serves as an online marketplace connecting buyers, renters, and real estate agents, tackling long-standing issues of fragmented listings and misinformation.

By introducing verified property data and a user-friendly interface, MeQasa has reshaped how Ghanaians find and list homes—streamlining a once complicated process into a seamless digital experience.

MeQasa’s strength lies in its curated listings model and commitment to quality over volume. The company monetizes through a pay-to-list system that ensures only serious agents and developers feature on its platform.

This approach has attracted thousands of active users and real estate professionals, drawing early investment while raising $500,000 in 2015 from Frontier Digital Ventures to accelerate growth.

Today, MeQasa is recognized as Ghana’s leading online real estate hub, simplifying property discovery and increasing transparency and efficiency across the value chain.

Over the years, MeQasa has expanded beyond online listings to host high-profile real estate fairs attracting thousands of participants, bridging the gap between buyers and developers. Its growing influence has inspired complementary ventures.

While formal awards are few, MeQasa’s recognition in industry media and its strong brand presence solidify its position as a pioneering force driving digital transformation in West Africa’s property sector.
